Designed as a hybrid board game with a companion app, Mi-box Live makes math fun and interactive, allowing players to develop skills like problem-solving, teamwork, and resilience. Ideal for family game nights or classrooms, it engages all math levels with a 400m track, it is easy to adjust the size to keep game play exciting and math-focused athlete figurines. Mi-box Live allows its users to be creative when learning, giving users many options of game play.
Mi-box Live, the hybrid version (V1), merges technology with hands-on learning. Your challenge is to correctly answer numeracy questions generated by the app, recording your answers on the learning board.
If you answer correctly, roll the dice and race around the running track from the start line to the finish line to win Mi-box Live and earn the title of maths champion at each level.
In the times table maths sport challenge board game, players use times table cards from 0-20. A designated referee selects cards from a tray. Athletes solve the answers on the learning board. If correct, roll the dice and race around the track. The first player to cross the finish line is the winner.

How to play?
Players minimum 2 maximum 8.
Maths Athletes, you must decide to; compete as individual or in pairs before competition begins
- Select a track size (based on 400m running track)
- Select a distance 100m, 200m or 400m (400m = 1 lap of the track is most popular)
- Select a MiboxLive Athlete to travel around the track
- Place your athlete on the start line ready for the Maths Sport Challenge (MSC)
- Download and subscribe to the MiBoxLive APP which has a range of numeracy Q’s
- We recommend starting at PRIME 5 for Primary kids aged 5-11 and work up the levels. For secondary kids 11-16 start at pro 5 and work up the levels.
- A MSC question in numeracy will appear. Athletes must solve the question and show your workings out on the Learning Board. CLICK ‘SHOW ANSWER’
- If the MiBoxLive athletes get the question correct they can roll the special dice (1-3)and advance the MiBoxLive Athlete around the track. IF they get the question incorrect they must stay in the position.
- CLICK ‘NEXT QUESTION’ and repeat the performance!
- Like in sport the first athlete across the finish line wins! And the rest are placed. 2nd 3rd 4th.
